Many factors may increase the cost of an inspection. For
example, two heating/cooling systems for larger homes, additional
out buildings/barns, and square footage to name a few.
A home inspector should typically spend 2 1/2-3 hours inspecting
the home, depending on size. After the inspection, the inspector
will spend time with the client(s)/agent to discuss the findings
he discovered about the home. This is also the time for the
client(s)/agent to ask the inspector about any concerns or
questions about the house that they may have.

Upon completion of the inspection and after the consultation phase, the client is provided with a six slotted, three ring binder which includes the following:
- the pre-inspection agreement
- an invoice of the inspection
- the inspection report (pictures included)
- a copy of ASHI's Standards of Practice
- and a detailed drawing of all the components of a home with a seasonal maintenance chart.
